The dark side of the force is getting stronger now… Nevertheless, the jedi does not need to worry so much. Nikon just bagged two TIPA 2008 awards, Expert and Professional DLSR categories. Expert category won by the D300 and the professional category won by the D3 . Fanatics Nikonians must be rejoice, they have more points to bring up during the heated discussion about the best SLR in the market.

The other two categories, entry and advance level won by Sony and Canon. Sony Alpha 200 won the entry level DSLR while Canon 400D won the Advance category. Click for full list of winners for all categories.

DSLR arena is getting more and more interesting as days goes by don’t you think.

The thing is, Nikon did not manufactured their own sensor¹. Sony doing it for them. There is a rumor about upcoming A900 will use the same sensor as the D3. Sony, though still new is becoming more and more popular day by day. Their current line-up getting more and more attentions, lets see what Sony will bring to us with the A900. Could it compete the D3? The members of the orange legion believe so.

The main reason is they don’t like expatriate. No, seriously the main culprit is the /usr/lib/libexpat.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format. The quick fix is quite simple, just use the internal libexpat by adding –with-expat=builtin when configuring the build.

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 --enable-module=so --enable-mods-shared=most --with-expat=builtin

The reason behind it is that we are building for 64bit (x86_64) CPU while the libexpat is in 32bit format. Ideally you could point to the correct 64bit lib in /usr/lib/lib64. Nevertheless this solution work for me

Today’s task is to complete the server operation system, apache, php and oracle client for our project.

Installing in VMWare to test the installation, CDs are for 64 bit, while mine is 32. Had to download, the ISO size 3.5GB
Server was sent to server room - had to pick it up. It is 26kg in weight, and need to hand carry
Server is 64 bit afterall, continue the installation without much hassle, or no hassle at all apart from changing CDs for 7 times
Then come Oracle Instant Client turn, Download the latest version 11.1.0.1
Install everything using RPM, smooth installation
Configure LD_LIBRARY_PATH and TNS_ADMIN
Configure samba, transfer tnsnames.ora
Run sqlplus, a big success. Alhamdulillah
Configure odbc.ini, run isql - kanina - undefined symbol: SQLGetPrivateProfileStringW
Don’t search anymore, the caused on the problem is libaio1 in CentOS 5 is outdated :-O w00t woot wat wekkk wukkk kaboommm
Okay okay, the solution is there as this is not the first time I encounter this, downgrade the instant client
Download 10.2.0.3 - But— damnn… kanina again… No ODBC for 10.2.0.3 for x64
11.1.0.1 - OS lib outdated. 10.2.0.3, ODBC driver not offered. kabooommmmmmm
Download new Distro, Fedora Core 8, 3.6GB of DVD ISO. Where got DVD burner bai… kaboommm….

While wating for FC8 download to complete, about DVD burner I’ll find the solution later, Proceed with back end software deployment.

Sebenarnya, terlalu banyak cerita yang ingin di kongsi bersama, namun aku selalu memberi alasan kerja adalah lebih penting. Tahun ini, kerja tetap sama pentingnya, namun aku akan sahut cabaran bahawa, masa itu kalau dicari sebenarnya ada, walaupun hampir setiap hari tidur pada jam empat pagi, dan pagi esoknya sudah kena bangun ke kerja. Definasi hampir itu berbagai, jadi biarlah aku simpan tafsiran hampir aku untuk aku je. 2007, dalam hidup merupakan tahun yang terlalu pelbagai kenangannya, tidak boleh dikatakan manis, namun pada masa yang sama tidak juga boleh dikatakan pahit walaupun begitu banyak peristiwa pahit terjadi. Apapun, harapan aku di tahun 2008 ini biarlah manis belaka.

For whatsoever reason, this plugin is very annoying to ME. Especially on those website that doesn’t use ajax for comment but use this plug in simply because it break the rule of usability and not back button friendly. I tried or I really am suck at math. I have a video recording, but at very poor quality, even worse than Chua Soy Lek sex video. Even though both in the same 3gp format, mine sucks. But if you insist, I will provide (for what!?).

Is the name we choose for our son. I know its quite a long name, combine with my name which comprises of 11 characters including space make it even longer. Pity him when filling forms later on. But its the name his mother love and I absolutely have no objection. Enjoy the pictures of him More pictures of him at fotopages.

Alhamdulillah, Ibu kepada Nadiah telahpun selamat melahirkan seorang bayi lelaki yang sihat pada jam 11:26pm tadi. Pengalaman kali pertama menemani isteri di dewan bersalin. Masa Nadiah dulu, bersalin dekat UH, dia tak bagi masuk, jadi bila sampai ke aku semua dah siap. Sebelum tuh terkulat-kulat kat luar tunggu, kejap-kejap tanya Doktor/Misi yang ada kat situ. Kali ni tukar tempat, dekat Hospital Selayang. Suami atau Emak dibenarkan/digalakkan untuk masuk ke dewan bersalin. Perghh.. I tell you, kalau bini ko nak bagi nama apa pun, setuju je la, bukan senang nak beranak wehh…

Berbanding dengan Nadiah dulu, adik dia nih cepat sikit, dalam 30 minit dah keluar (selepas seharian terlantar di wad, bukaan belum cukup). Nadiah dulu lebih separuh hari. Dan kali ni, Nadiah dapat adik lelaki. Sebab dia lelaki, aku mungkin hadiahkan dia PS2 >:) Kita tdo duluu…
